Reduce

• My family reduces the amount of plastic bags we use by using canvas bags.
• We reduce the amount of energy we use by turning off the lights when we leave a room.
• We also reduce energy by unplugging things that don’t need to be plugged.
• My family rarely uses paper towel and paper napkins.

Reuse

• My family has a compost heap. We put our biodegradable food scraps in there and then reuse it as fertilizer.
• My family rarely uses them, but if we get plastic bags we use them as trash bags.

Recyle

• My family recycles like crazy. We had to get a bigger recycling bin.

I think it would be kind of insulting to tell my family that there “not green”.  My family was green before there was a name for it.  My sister is really into being “green” ever scince she was little. She would do whatever she could to make the world greener. She even wants to become an envirmentlist. I think she is the one that really made my family green.
